DP Concrete Products – Project History

This department was established in 1967 to manufacture the girders and piling for the U.S. Highway 171 bridge over the Calcasieu River and English Bayou.

Our most recent projects:

    • New Ship Berth at Contraband Bayou—Port of Lake Charles: 106,745 feet of 18” piling, 18,039 tons of product, 1,078 pieces, over $2,100,000. Contractor was driving over 20 per day. All delivered by truck, one piece to a truck. Completed for Boh Brothers Construction, L.L.C. of New Orleans, LA. Year 1999.

 

    • Harbor Island Wharf Extension—Port of Beaumont: 52,000 feet of 24” voided piling in lengths of 90, 95, & 100 feet (544 pieces). Also supplied 478 precast concrete deck panels for top of the wharf. Total job was 18,700 tons of product for a total of $2,600,000. All product delivered by barge. Completed for BO-MAC Contractors of Beaumont, TX. Year 2000.

 

    • Wharf Rehabilitation of Berths 1, 2, & 3—Port of Lake Charles:  38,000 feet of 24” voided piling, 380 pieces, 9,690 tons of product. Project value is over $1,100,000. All barge delivery. Completed for F. Miller & Sons, Inc. of Lake Charles, LA. Year 2002.

 

    • CMS Energy—Trunkline LNG Tank Expansion: 74,000 feet of 14” piling, 1,155 pieces, all produced and delivered within 4 months. Project value over $900,000. We produced this job simultaneously with the Pinnacle Casino job, at times producing over 3,600 feet of total product per day. Truck delivery. Completed for C.B.&I./ Boh Brothers Construction, L.L.C. Year 2003.

 

    • L’auberge Du Lac Casino Resort—Lake Charles: 68,000 feet of 18” piling, and 160,000 feet of 16” piling, 3,000 pieces, produced and delivered simultaneously over a 7 month period. Project value $2,200,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Manhattan Construction/ Boh Brothers Construction, L.L.C. Year 2003-2004.

 

    • Sabine Pass LNG Tanks—Sabine Pass, LA: 400,000 feet of 18” piling, over 4,100 pieces, produced and delivered simultaneously with the Cameron LNG Tank and the Sabine Pass LNG Process Area projects (below), over a 6 month period. Project value over $8,000,000. Barge delivery. Completed for Matrix Service, Inc. Year 2005-2006.

 

    • Cameron LNG Tanks—Hackberry, LA: 400,000 feet of 18” piling, 4,360 pieces, produced and delivered over a 6 month period. Project value over $8,000,000. Barge delivery. Completed for BO-MAC Contractors, Ltd. Year 2005-2006.

 

    • Sabine Pass LNG Process Area: 400,000 feet of 14” piling, over 4,700 pieces produced and delivered within an 8 month period. Project value over $6,000,000. Barge delivery. Completed for Boh Brothers Construction, LLC. Year 2005-2006.

 

    • L’auberge Du Lac Casino Resort Expansion:  12,000 feet of 18” piling, over 18,000 feet of 16” piling, over 400 pieces, produced and delivered simultaneously within a 2 month period. Project value over $800,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Manhattan Construction/ Boh Brothers Construction, L.L.C. Year 2006.

 

    • John James Audubon Bridge—New Roads, LA:  60,000 feet of 24” piling. 800 pieces of Type III Girders and 200 pieces of BT-72 Girders. 400 precast deck panels. Project value over $13,000,000. Project Supply bond furnished. Barge and truck delivery. Completed for Audubon Bridge Constructors JV. Year 2006-2010.

 

    • LA Hwy 1 (Phases 1B & 1C)—Leeville, LA:  Combined over 40,000 feet of spliced and voided 30” piling. Project value over $8,000,000. Barge delivery. Supply bond furnished for both. Completed for Traylor Bros. Year 2007.

 

    • Sabine Pass LNG Process Area – Phase 2:  280,000 feet of 14” piling, 2,500 pieces. Project value over $6,000,000. Barge delivery. Completed for Boh Brothers Construction, LLC. Year 2007.

 

    • Mustang Engineers – Trunkline LNG:  120,000 feet of 14” piling, 1,500 pieces. Project value over $2,000,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Mustang. Year 2007.

 

    • U.S. 90 Interchange—Lafayette, LA:  40,000 feet of 14” piling. 185 pieces of Type III Girders and 90 pieces of Type IV MOD Girders. Project value over $3,000,000. Truck delivery. Completed for James Construction Group. Year 2007.

 

    • Golden Pass LNG:  Combined over 400,000 feet of spliced and solid 18” piling. Project value over $13,000,000. Barge delivery. Completed for C.B.&I. Year 2007.

 

    • Trunkline LNG Pipe Racks—Lake Charles:  560 pieces of precast bents to be erected as pipe rack structure. Project value over $3,000,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Mustang Engineers. Year 2007-2008.

 

    • Motiva Crude Expansion Project—Port Arthur, TX:  Combined over 4,000,000 feet of 14” and 18” piling. End count was over 44,000 piles. Project value over $50,000,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Bechtel. Year 2007-2008.

 

    • Sugarcane Bay Casino Resort:  175,000 feet of 16” & 18” piling. Project value over $4,000,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Manhattan Construction/ Boh Brothers Construction, L.L.C. Year 2009.

 

    • DOW Falcon Chlorine #7 (Samsung)—Freeport, TX:  69,000 feet of 16” piling, 1,700 pieces. Project value $1,600,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Piling Inc. of Texas City, TX. Year 2011.

 

    • Praxair Hydrogen Facility (Valero):  170,000 feet of 14” and 16” piling, 2,400 pieces. Project value $3,000,000. Truck delivery. Completed for BO-MAC Contractors. Year 2011.

 

    • Chevron Phillips Steam—Port Arthur, TX:  67,000 feet of 14” piling, over 1,100 pieces. Project value over $1,300,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Mason Construction. Year 2012.

 

    • Golden Nugget Casino–Lake Charles:  346,000 feet of 16” piling, 3,800 pieces. Project value over $4,000,000. Truck delivery. Completed for Boh Bros. Construction, LLC. Year 2012-2013.

 

    • Sabine Pass LNG Liquefaction Trains 1 & 2:  Over 593,000 feet of 14” piling, over 6,500 pieces. Project value over $10,000,000. Some truck delivery, mostly barge delivery. Recently completed for Bo-Mac Contractors. Year 2012-2013.

 

    • Sabine Pass LNG Liquefaction Trains 3 & 4:  Combined 500,000 feet of 14” piling & 18” piling, approximately 5,000 pieces for Bo-Mac Contractors. Project value over $10,000,000. Barge delivery. Year 2013.

 

    • Sunoco Mariner South Terminal—Nederland, TX:  Over 192,000 feet of 14” piling, 3,200 pieces for Group Contractors. Project value over $3,000,000. Truck Delivery. Year 2013-2014
